Leprechauns

I know that this is more often associated with myth, but I decided that I was going to do a post about leprechauns in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day this month. Let’s start with the basic that everybody probably knows, leprechauns are often depicted as small men with red beards and green coats who watch pots of gold at the ends of rainbows. But in early tales they were described as wearing three cornered hats and also wearing red instead of the green they are now known for. They also are said to cobble shoes but only one of the pair instead of both. It is said that if you capture a leprechaun they will tell you the location of their treasure or grant you three wishes. Leprechauns can also disappear in an instant so make sure that if you see one keep your eye on it.
